So last night I’m at [redacted]‘s school band holiday concert type event thing and I’m reading The Christmas Bridge because reading a book is what I do during the boring parts of school band holiday concert type things when my son isn’t even on stage.

And I blurted out a laugh so unexpected that I didn’t see it coming which is what unexpected means.

(Yes, I’m writing things this way on purpose.)

There have been many moments of laugh making in this text book but this one was a real lol which means laugh out loud. It was on page 20 or 22 or so and it references Dire Straights and included an actual in print use of “lol” and holy shit it was funny.

Brian, I can only read this in small doses because my head can only take the style for so long before my brain starts to break — I mean that in a good way! — but so far this is pretty awesome. You’ve got an awesome voice. It’s hilarious. I’ve been reading a chapter or two a day since I got it and like it a ton.

You did it and that means you get a certificate but it’s not a real one so just use your feelings to redeem it.
